Sedulous staff on the
roof of Riemergasse 8
At the beginning of 2013 we became aware of the bee death problem in agriculture and that's when the idea was born, to support the city's honey farm. Our location is in close vicinity to the city park and numerous green roof terraces are nearby, providing the best conditions for our new hotel staff, the honeybees.
Moving in May 2015
Right on time, at the beginning of the merry month of May 2015 the special staff members took up quarters on the roof of APARTMENT HOTEL AN DER RIEMERGASSE.
At the end of June we could already bring in the first honey harvest. The tasting revealed a particularly mild flavour, developed by the gentle process and the diversity of blossoms within the urban region. We are delighted that this initiative enables us to support the project of the city bee keepers, who take care of the bee colonies at the St. Stephen's Cathedral, the Museum of Natural History, Parliament, the Office of the Federal Chancellor, Belvedere and on various other locations.
